Ruby's SSOs

I thought you would like to meet Ruby's SSOs (Significant Stuffed Others).

Here are Mordi cat (given to us by our neighbors who actually have black and white cats named Mordi and Wolfie who Ruby plays with), Kitty (the orange striped cat who she has slept with since she was about 4 months old), Eebie, spiderlady and a new comer, Puppy, the little brown fluff ball in front. If any of these were to go missing, we would be in trouble.

She also has a very special toy doggie (Rooney doggie) and another orange striped kitty who stay in her cubby at daycare. They are necessary over there for naps.

She is holding Auggie's soccer ball which she had to return. Soccer balls have been a big fascination for her. We are trying to get her to kick them but so far she just wants to treat them like dolls. She likes to take them for walks in the toy stroller.

Cousins Harriet and Larry Visit

These pictures are a month old already. I've been meaning to post them.

Harriet taught Ruby how to do a summersault. Very exciting!

Ruby showed us how she likes to get her kitty purse, wear Larry's shoes (usually daddy's) and go to work. "See you later, Alligator!"

Zoo today with Aurora and Niko

Sunny day! We made an impromptu trip to the zoo with some friends. Ruby loved the play bugs in the sidewalk. She also practiced climbing stairs in the amphitheatre with Aurora and Niko.

Bathtime play

In addition to pretending to be a cat or frog, splashing and singing, Ruby also enjoys pointing out how wrinkly her feet get in the bath.

Mommy's birthday and Father's day

Paul made an amazing birthday cake! And we went to Ardenwood farm, which is a real working farm nearby.

For Ruby, the best parts were splashing in puddles in the wedding area chairs (I guess the sprinklers got to them) and playing in the drinking fountain. She also liked the train tour of all the vegetables in the fields.

Ruby thought the sheep and goats were scary. but she really liked watching them eat and has already asked to go back. She didn't want to leave. ("Stay farm! Stay farm!")

She says next time she wants to try to touch the bunny rabbit. (This time she didn't want to pet it.)

Two Tutus!

Ruby was hapily dancing with her tutus in the kitchen.

Giving Baths

Ruby lovingly gave both of these soccer balls a bath on our back deck. She washed them, then dried each of them with the towel, then put them back in to "wash their hair".

Is that a poop floating in the bath water?
No... its just a leaf.

Maybe we should get her a doll.

Walking around at the park and at home

Ruby is walking independently all over the place now. During the past two weeks she has advanced a lot with her mobility. We can see that she is excited about being able to get around on her own. Its wonderful.

Here she is throwing rocks in the lake, playing in a western town and pushing her dolly in the stroller at home (...for the dolly's nap, which was right before we pushed Ruby in the big stroller for her own nap.)

Rolling, crawling, walking, dancing...

Here are some videos and pictures from last week. As soon as I put a new rug down in the living room Ruby couldn't wait to play on it.

These Videos are only from last week, but Ruby is progressing so fast with her walking and talking that they seem old already when I watch them.Heres one from the kitchen, not on the new rug. But its worth posting.
