Some more pics from Thanksgiving weekend

We havent taken many pictures in the past week but we love these from Linda and Marvin's visit.

They came by on the Sunday after Thanksgiving, and we came back early from Mendocino to see them. Paul made his delicious pancakes for the whole group, including Alex and little Aurora, Robin and little Dex, and Ken & Eugene.

Then we walked up the street to the house that has the chickens and goats. And after that Grandpa pushed Ruby in a car-stroller at a mall. Ruby was delighted with the ride and all the christmas decorations.

Picking Raspberries

Here are two videos of Ruby at Harriet and Larry's house in Albion, picking and eating raspberries off the vine.

Ruby making appetizers

Here is a video of Ruby placing little toasts on a plate and putting a 1/2 hazelnut on top of each.

Happy Hanukah!

We went to two hanukah parties this weekend where Ruby saw all kinds of menorahs and got to light candles. Here are some pictures of candle lighting with Ruby's friend Isaac and his mommy Elisa. Niko is here too, watching Isaac play his guitar.

We've also been lighting candles every night at home. Then we either have cookie time or presents.

Mommy found a used play house, disassembled it, strapped it to the car and then put it back together in the back yard (not easy!). We were lucky one morning to get a momentary break in the rain to play in it.

Thanksgiving in Mendocino

We drove up to Harriet and Larry's house (in Albion, actually) for a lovely weekend with friends. Ruby made a new friend, Aaron, who is just a bit younger.

She saw Larry load firewood into the house, helped Harriet unload the dishwasher and picked and ate raspberries off the vine. Especially adorable was the care with which Ruby made an appetizer plate, arranging toasts with cheese on a plate and placing one-half hazelnut atop each of them.

After Thanksgiving dinner we took a walk, looked for frogs and found some mushrooms.

We all had a wonderful time.

Larry was a kid magnet, the kids wanted to play with him Cconstantly.
