Lemonade?

The lemonade stand has not left our living room but it has already had lots of use. Ruby sold lemonade and cookies to all her stuffed animals and to mommy and daddy. Play Date with Aaron

Ruby was invited over for dinner and the Cars movie. Aaron is an expert on the Cars movie and Ruby has been wanting to see it, although worried that it might be too scary. The playdate was complete with hide and go seek, and jumping on the bed. We all had a great time.

Play Date with Maya

We haven't seen Maya (and Heidi's friend Amanda) in a long time! Way back during Ruby's first year we posted a video of Maya showing Ruby sign language. She is 1 year older than Ruby but they were fast friends during this visit. They talked about purple, and how to make lemonade and they jumped and played together. 

The first video is of Ruby and Maya splashing in the tiny pool. The second (if I can post it) is a part of one of their many conversations. 

Girl Sandwich?

Ruby: "Daddy, you're the waiter. I'll have a girl sandwich."

Paul: "What's a girl sandwich?"

Ruby: "You know, a girl cheese sandwich."

Paul: "Is that like a grilled cheese sandwich?"

Ruby: "Yes. And Niko will have a boy sandwich."

Paul: "What's a boy sandwich?"

Ruby: "A boy sandwich is just bread and chicken and cheese and nothing else."

Fancy Ruby

This morning, when Ruby selected her dress and put in her hair things, she knew she would have an impact. The first to be impressed (other than mommy) was Bosco the dog. 

When Ruby arrived in Lauren's back yard, her close friends Clara, Ava and Kailey showered her with admiration. Ruby gave a special present she had painted to Clara. Then Ava and Kailey encircled her saying, "I love your clothes, I love your hair, I love your things!"
