Visiting Papa Marvin and Grandma Linda for Linda's Birthday

Ruby and daddy visited Papa Marvin and Grandma Linda's house to celebrate Linda's birthday. There were so many fun things to do! Papa Marvin made a real ladybug terrarium in the back yard! And he and Ruby worked together with toy tools to repair a scooter car. Grandma Linda and Ruby worked on some very nice art projects, like making a butterfly pillow and coloring eggs. And then they made cupcakes!

Peas Anyone?

Ruby defrosted some peas so we could make daddy's hot choc bliver (mock chopped liver).

Dinner with Aurora

We haven't seen Aurora or her mommy Alex in a long time. It gets hard to keep in touch with friends who are not at the same daycare. We met them at Barney's for dinner. Both Ruby and Aurora grew taller since they've last seen each other! They played with Ruby's cat (named Chubby) and Aurora showed Ruby a new game on her mommy's iphone.

Dinner Date With Niko

Ruby's friend Niko asked his mommy (Anne) if he could go to breakfast (dinner) with Ruby and Ruby's mommy. They waited outside the daycare house for Ruby to come out (Ruby took a while to poop) and we all walked to Cactus, a taco shop nearby. (Actually Niko and Ruby ran, climbed, jumped and played all the way to Cactus.) Ruby was very excited to get attention from the popular kid. They played very well together.

Niko and Ruby shared a side order of grilled chicken and a bottle of apple juice. Here is a video every mommy wants to see, of her friend's child and her own sipping from straws together.

If I can upload it, I'll also post a video of them giggling and using the straws to blow apple juice at each other.

Ruby and Niko have known each other since Ruby was about one month old.

Ruby feeds her hungry cats (mommy and daddy)

Here is another short video from last week's fairyland trip. Ruby loves to play in this little pig's straw house with the window that opens. We often play about cooking. This time she wanted mommy and daddy to be hungry cats knocking at her door.
