How can we say 'no' to her?
Our Ruby Sarah, born August 12th, 2008, has been amazing to us from her very beginning. We are so grateful for her and delighted with the new things she comes up with every day. We will try to keep this blog updated to share some of what we are experiencing.
We got a chance to play with Cora and Aurora (Cora, eating corn, is 3 weeks older than Ruby, Aurora is 18 months.) while some older boys (about 3 years old) played rougher boy games. It was a great party. And Ruby had a homemade marble cupcake with applesauce in it, which she enjoyed a lot. (I think she enjoyed the batter even more, just like her mommy.)

Here is Ruby eating her very first piece of cake ever. She was cautious at first, but then really dug in. It was marble cake, mmm. Thank you Grandpa Marvin and Grandma Linda! It was a nice ending of the day for Ruby after a whirlwind naming and birthday party.

Grandpa Marvin and Grandma Linda put on a first class baby naming ceremony and 1st birthday party at their house in Carlsbad. So many family members came, it was spectacular.

This first picture was taken on Wednesday, August 12th, Ruby's actual first birthday. She has a root beer float, which she loved. And we went on the merry-go-round 3 times. It was a good day.
