Eating By Herself

Since this remarkable moment when she first held a hunk of banana herself to eat, she has rapidly progressed to eating fist fulls of turkey, scrambled egg and hunks of bagel or lavash bread (her new favorite). We're still trying to make the veggies more interesting to her.

The pool and the weather were excellent. The chef made Ruby a trio of puree; pear, english pea and carrot. It was the fanciest babyfood ever.

Ruby was fine with being away from home except she was not willing to fall asleep in the hotel room. So Paul found the perfect fountain to fall asleep to - for all of her naps and for each night.

Nine months in and 9 months out

Ruby is just about 9 months old, which means she has spent equal time inside my uterus and outside it (since she was born at 37 weeks). Here is a retrospective.
